| Q1 |
What are the system requirements for the DO70G Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor? |
| A1 |
The following four components are required.
| - Sensor: |
DO70G |
| - Converter: |
DO402G |
| - Holder: |
Select one from the DOX8HS, PB360G, andPB350G |
| - Power Supply Unit: |
DOX10
(which is required to supply 24-volt power to the sensor and which is supposed to be mounted to a pole to which the converter is mounted.) |

| Q2 |
What are the features of the DO70G? |
| A2 |
| - |
Excellent stain resistance thanks to a phase difference measurement method and a smooth surface finish and stain-resistant structure |
| - |
The sensor is compact and slim. |
| - |
The installed in the field DO402G converter can be used as it is. |

| Q3 |
Is the DO70G affected by ambient light? |
| A3 |
No.

|
| Q4 |
Can the DO70G be connected to the installed DO402G converter? |
| A4 |
Yes, it can. However, the DOX10 power supply unit is required.

|
| Q5 |
Is an AC power supply required for the DOX10 power supply unit and the DO402G converter, respectively? |
| A5 |
An AC power supply is required only for the DOX10 power supply unit.
The DO402G receives power from the DOX10.

| Q6 |
Can the DOX10 power supply unit be installed outdoors? |
| A6 |
Yes, it can.

|
| Q7 |
What are the types of terminals? |
| A7 |
Pin terminals are used for connecting the DO402G converter, and M4 ring terminals for connecting the power supply unit. A VP6.0 connector is used for connecting the DO70G sensor.

| Q8 |
What is the maximum cable length for the sensor? |
| A8 |
10 m
→ Return to questions
|
| Q9 |
Can the cable length of the sensor be extended by a combination of cables and cable extension adapter provided by Yokogawa or using a commercially available cable? |
| A9 |
The cable length of the sensor cannot be extended beyond 10 m for performance reasons and a cable extension adapter also cannot be used.

|
| Q10 |
Can a commercially available cable also be used instead of a cable for the power supply unit provided by Yokogawa? |
| A10 |
Any main power cable can be used.
If your purpose is to extend the distance between the power supply unit and the converter, you must also consider extending the power cable to the sensor. However, system performance cannot be guaranteed.

| Q11 |
What type of thermistor is incorporated in the sensor? |
| A11 |
22k NTC

| Q12 |
Can the DO70G be mounted in the installed holder? |
| A12 |
The installed PB350G and PB360G floating ball holders can be used as they are.
However, an optional adapter for the DO70G is required.
The DO70G cannot be mounted in the installed DOX8HS submersion type holder because of the following two reasons:
(1) Tilt of the sensor and (2) position of the jet cleaning unit.
Purchase a new DOX8HS submersion type holder and an optional adapter for the DO70G.

| Q13 |
Can the drop-in sensor guide pipe holder be used with the DO70G? |
| A13 |
It cannot be used because the cable connector is not waterproof.

|
| Q14 |
Can self-cleaning be used? |
| A14 |
Jet cleaning can be used with the DOX8HS submersion type holder.

| Q15 |
What applications and measurement objects can the DO70G be used for? |
| A15 |
Aeration tank for sewage and industrial wastewater systems and biological activated carbon process for advanced water treatment systems

| Q16 |
What settings need to be changed to use the installed DO402G? |
| A16 |
You just need to configure the settings in the menu according to the connected sensor.

|
| Q17 |
What are the calibration method and recommended calibration frequency for the aeration tank? |
| A17 |
The calibration method is two-point calibration using zero solution and air-saturated water.
The recommended calibration frequency varies depending on the state of the sample solution so it is recommended to follow the conventional calibration interval.
For example, there is a record of calibration being not performed for 3 months for the measurement of one milligram per liter in an aeration tank for a public wastewater system.

| Q18 |
What spare parts are required for one year? |
| A18 |
The sensor cap needs to be replaced once every 1 to 3 years, depending on the sample solution.

|
| Q19 |
It there a storage period for the spare part (sensor cap) ? |
| A19 |
No, there is not. However, store it in a dark location.
