Training Capabilities

Yokogawa Power Services (TechComm) is a division of Yokogawa Australia which is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in ESI Generation and is able to issue nationally recognised qualifications to Diploma level in all aspects of power plant processes and their associated equipment including operations, to successful Power Plant Operations students under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

Yokogawa Australia is also licensed with the Department of Industrial Relations, Workplace Health and Safety in Queensland to deliver training and provide Statements of Attainment in 30498QLD Course in Operating Pressure Equipment.

The Yokogawa Power Services (TechComm) training philosophy is based on:
• Extensive Power Plant Operations and Maintenance Training experience;
• Significant Operations and Maintenance Hands-on expertise;
• Professionally qualified trainers

Yokogawa Power Services (TechComm) coordinates with the client to develop training programs and materials and deliver effective training where it provides the best returns. These training programs vary from a few days to many months, depending on the outcomes required.

Our accredited courses are as follows:

Underpinning Knowledge

The basis for all higher level learning of a power station process. It is the foundation of knowledge required for an operator to successfully understand the theory and its application to the plant and its system and to quickly analyse the impacts of one plant system on another.
This can be incorporated into a Certificate Level III training program

Certificate III

For the new operators up to Local Operator Level

Certificate IV

Experienced Local Operators being promoted to Senior Operator Level

Diploma

Experienced Local Operators being promoted to Management Levels

Mandatory High Risk Licenses

For basic, intermediate and advanced boilers operators and steam turbine operation


We also provide all types of non-accredited and site specific training courses and programs to suit a customer's individual needs.
