It would be an advantage if participants have already had exposure to boilers or turbines

To meet the requirements for the knowledge component and assessment for the requisite boiler and turbine High Risk Work licenses

Documentation
Yokogawa Simulation (TechComm) WHSQ 30926, Boiler Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Steam Turbine Training Manual - as appropriate
Assessment
The assessment of these courses will require the demonstration of the knowledge and skills as identified in the learning outcomes and assessment criteria listed in the manual
and will be carried out through formal classroom assessment and where able, practical exercises to assess competence
Course Outcomes
These courses can provide the theory component required for the issuing of a Boiler Basic, Boiler Intermediate and Boiler Advanced, Steam Turbine operating license under
the Department of Employment, Education and Training guidelines. It does not include the on-job training component as required for this license
Training Simulator
Yokogawa Simulation (TechComm) has generic modern power plant training simulator/s which can be used to augment classroom training and provide 'hands-on' practice for the participants. These are
provided at additional cost
Participant's Costs
The prices do not include participant travel and living costs whilst attending the course
