Yokogawa released the environmental accounts for the last fiscal year in Environmental Report 2000 on its Web site. The settlement of the consolidated accounts for 7 major manufacturing, affiliated companies and Yokogawa Electric Corporation itself declares 1 billion and 117 million yen as the total cost for environmental protection for fiscal 1999 (including investment depreciation that should incur in the current fiscal year), 317 million yen as the total environmental investment on plants and equipment. As the economic results from environmental protection activities, it declares 405 million yen as the environmental protection effects occurring within, and upstream and downstream of the operation area, and 936 million yen as other effects.
