Yokogawa Group has been gearing up to establish a comprehensive ISO14001-compliant environmental management system (EMS) with the following objectives:

As the first step, the Headquarters and main factory of Yokogawa Electric Corporation, its Kofu plant, and Akiruno Business Division of Yokogawa Electronics Manufacturing Corporation (three sites), as a whole, underwent a four-day audit in late August by an industry registration body, Japan Audit and Certification Organization for Environment and Quality (JACO), to check the status of implementation of the ISO14001 EMS. The audit results were officially approved by an ISO14001 consultation committee, and an ISO14001 (and JIS Q14001) certificate for these three sites was issued as of September 12.
