Internship/ Final Project
Every high-technology product from Yokogawa has to fulfill three basic criteria: Quality, Innovation, Foresight. We are one of the world leaders in industrial automation and control, test and measurement, information systems and industrial services. Besides being high quality, innovative and advanced, our products are also safe and durable. In other words, we supply smart technology, made by smart professionals. Many of our customers are major and global names in oil and gas upstream and midstream, refining and petrochemical, power and energy industries.
Continuous improvement. That's a key principle at Yokogawa. It's essential to building our future. Our goal: sustainable growth, satisfied customers and personal development of our employees.
For this strong, international business, Yokogawa seeks new, experienced, and highly experienced professionals. Thinkers and self-starters who 'See, Know and Act'. Quick, smart and decisive. But above all, willing to ‘go the extra mile’ for our customers!
Yokogawa Europe Solutions, based in Amersfoort, is looking for a student who wants to do his/ her internship/ final project at Yokogawa.
The Application Engineering department within Yokogawa is building SCADA and Data Historian systems mainly for the oil and gas industry. Within this department we have the possibility for the following project:
SCADA typicals
The goal of this project is to identify reusable typicals that are common to all our SCADA projects and make these typicals available via our intranet to our Yokogawa colleagues. It is also important that these typicals are in line with international standards.
You will make an investigation of the typicals created within the various projects. A typical is the graphical and logical representation of a field object in the SCADA system. These are e.g. valve, flow meter, pump, transmitter or even a complete gas or oil well. The typicals suitable for general use will have to be identified. The project specific functions have to be removed from the typicals to make them suitable for general use. Finally the typicals will be put on the Yokogawa intranet for further distribution.
Beside your work in the typicals you are participating in on one of our international SCADA projects in the oil and gas industry.
