Yokogawa Europe Solutions, based in Amersfoort, is looking for a student who wants to do his/ her internship/ final project at Yokogawa.
The Application Engineering department within Yokogawa is building SCADA and Data Historian systems mainly for the oil and gas industry. Within this department we have the possibility for the following project:
SCADA engineering tooling
Integration of the SCADA engineering tooling into the Yokogawa Global Engineering Tool.
Within Yokogawa engineering the Yokogawa Global Engineering Tool (yGet) is being used for engineering of control and safety systems. This tool is not suitable for engineering of SCADA systems. The current situation is that own developed tools are being used for engineering of SCADA systems. These tools are developed in a VisualBasic.NET environment. The project will include an investigation of the own developed tools and the possible methods how to integrate these tools into yGet. This is to be followed by the actual integration of the SCADA engineering tooling into yGET in a Visual Basic.NET development environment.

Project schedule
- Training on the FAST/TOOLS product and engineering of SCADA systems.
- Training on yGET usage and internals.
- Investigate the current available engineering tooling.
- Investigate possible methods how to integrate the tooling into yGET.
- Create a design document for the integration.
- Build and test the actual integration into yGET by means of a prototype.
