Systems Engineer (M/F)
Purpose of the job:
To engineer and execute quality in the design, engineering and service of projects from start to completion.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Report to the Projects & Engineering Manager on a functional Level.
- Report to the Project Manager/Senior Engineer on a Project Level.
- Manage the design and design documentation on a project.
- Compile engineering schedule for a project.
- Completion of engineering of a project to customer standards.
- Compiling of FAT and SAT documentation.
- Completion of Final Documentation.
- Compile the final project report.
- Manage contractors, working on the project with you.
- Present training on systems.
- Stay abreast of strategic and engineering solution developments on Yokogawa systems.
- Work closely with other Engineers, exchanging engineering information.
- Support the Engineering Manager in technical issues.
- To assist the Sales Team with the production of technically and commercially acceptable proposals, tender documents and bid submissions by checking and agreeing key elements affecting engineering execution.
- Train Engineering colleagues to an acceptable standard within personal areas of expertise when required.
- Software, licensing and document control.
- Do standby on sites with maintenance contracts in hand.
- Professionalism and projection of a proper image of the company and the Systems Engineer at all times.
- Abide by the companys business expenditure policies relating to business activities.
- Abide by the Authority Levels document.
- Adherence to Yokogawa Quality Management procedures, and Yokogawa Europe Accounting procedures manual.
- Respond positively to any other reasonable request pertaining to the job.
Abide by the companys health and safety policy by ensuring the following:
- Must execute work in such a way so as to not endanger himself/herself or others.
- Must inform himself/herself about Health and Safety instructions and procedures and participate in organised training.
- Must take care of optimal working conditions by using equipment in the correct manner and in accordance with instructions.
- Must alert noticed dangers to the managerial staff.
Profile
- Confident and concise individual with ability to work and problem solve on own or as a group member and team player.
- Meticulous and consistent.
- Degree or Diploma in an engineering or process related discipline.
- Member of professional Institution.
- Full PC , Microsoft package, and email literacy
- Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial Systems.
- Proven track record in engineering significant projects.
- Implementation of major software/application packages.
- Working knowledge of computer integration, networking and MIS systems
