For our European Center for Flowmeter Technologies at the Yokogawa Group in Wehr/Baden (Germany) we are looking for a

The Position
Integration within the organization
- The Managing Director reports indirectly to the European Director of Manufacturing, completely and correctly. This Manufacturing Directors function is currently performed by the European President of the group. The Managing Director is accountable for the assigned mission and agreed budgets.
- The Managing Director leads the Management Team of the company (see chart below) and attends the European Managing Directors Meeting each 6 months or otherwise as determined by the European Headquarters. He also attends global meetings as requested. The total staff of the company is about 130+ people and will grow significantly throughout the next years.
Objectives
- Realize the ambitious profitable growth plans
- Design and prepare production for the new product line
- Implement the MIS system (SAP) as the platform to support future growth
- Take care of Management Development and Change Management alongside with the strong future growth of the company
Main duties and responsibilities
- Compose the budget for marketing, development, manufacturing and operations
- Take all necessary actions to meet and exceed planed budgets
- Take full P&L responsibility for the companies operations
- Define improvements to the organization to meet ambitious growth plans
- Define the associated personnel development plan and recruit the best talents from the market
- Lead and motivate management staff by setting clear KPIs and giving directions to reach these goals
- Promote companies products and brand in the market in order to strengthen the competitive position
- Advise the European and global management on competition and over developments, and how to adapt and strengthen the companies market position
- Work in close collaboration with the groups regional sales subsidiaries and promote products and solution strategies internally
- Maintain efficient relationships with the governmental organizations, the social partners and with the Works Council/Personnel representation
- Survey the financial status and reports on a monthly basis
- Take care of the continuous improvement of management and operational methodologies in line with corporate and European policies
Qualification Requirements
- Education: business administration or technical degree with business-oriented additional courses
- Career history: The ideal candidate must have a profound knowledge in the fields of process automation and measurement technologies and must be technically competent in the control products field
- Hold final P&L responsibility for a business of at least 20 million, managing a 100+-employee operation today
- Broad experience in managing the production of high-tech instrumentation preferably in the field of control and measurement products
- Well experienced in handling international matrix organizations; able to negotiate and balance own interests with European and global demands
- Knowledge of local rules and regulations regarding labour relations, codes of conduct, business ethics
- Languages: fluent in German and English (Writing and conversation)
Personal Characteristics
- Entrepreneurial personality with a positive, charismatic and winning manner; independent, able to integrate and having intercultural experience; be accustomed to the leadership and management requirements of complex matrix structures.
- Self-starter with plenty of initiative and self supporting; hands-on attitude and working stile, motivated by results
- A people manager who sets goals and directives but leaves ample room for initiatives. Balances the need for measures with motivation of employees.
