Inside Sales Engineer Systems(M/F)

Inside Sales Engineer Systems(M/F)

The Sales Engineer is responsible for independently preparing quotations and for maintaining contact with the client during the quotation process. He or she prepares complete quotations based on estimates of hours, the project approach, scheduling and material calculations; consults with the legal department about commercial conditions and monitors the progress of the quotation process up to submission of the quotation. During the quotation process, the Sales Engineer maintains contact with the relevant Account Manager, with suppliers and with the client, makes client presentations and/or demonstrations and holds technical meetings with the client. Together with the Account Manager, the Sales Engineer also conducts commercial negotiations with the client.

  • Independent preparation and submission of complete quotations;
  • Monitoring of progress in the quotation process;
  • Maintenance of close contact during the quotation process with suppliers, the relevant Account Manager and the client;
  • Client demonstrations and/or presentations;
  • Technical meetings with the client;
  • Commercial negotiations with the client together with the Account Manager;
  • Dissemination of technical, commercial and general product and service information to clients;
  • Participation in trade fairs, congresses and seminars.
  • Graduate of a technical or commercial programme at an institution of higher professional education;
  • Experience in a technical project-based working environment;
  • Conceptual thinker;
  • Good problem-solving skills;
  • Commercial attitude, some negotiating experience;
  • Service-oriented, flexible and accurate;
  • Strong communicator; self-motivated;
  • Demonstrates initiative and is creative in looking for solutions;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English;
  • Willing to travel.
