Service Engineer, Aberdeen
Job
- Assist in maintaining 24 hour cover for Yokogawa System Support Contracts with the Service Supervisor, and to assist with quotations for the renewal of the Support Contracts as they become due.
- Assist in the business development of our Safety & Systems customer base with a focus on maintenance, 24 hour service cover and system modifications.
- Provide technical assistance for customers both external and internal, main product ranges covered will include distributed control systems, safety control systems, panel mounted stand alone products and process control instrumentation.
- Provide instrumentation calibration and validation as required (training will be provided as appropriate).
- Assist Service Supervisor in developing/ maintaining all necessary procedures and documentation associated with IEC61508 certification.
- Assist with customer training when requested, therefore required to maintain technical competence with the latest versions of Yokogawa ESD & Distributed Control Systems.
- Whilst the role calls for an emphasis on DCS and ESD systems, it is required that a flexible approach is adopted towards all customer service assignments.
- Candidate to maintain their safety//survival registration for offshore maintenance and service, this will also entail a regular and detailed medical examination.
Profile
- Experience in an industrial and technical environment with knowledge of Process Control Instrumentation.
- Experience with the maintenance of Safety Shutdown & Distributed Control Systems.
- HNC/ONC qualification in Control Engineering or equivalent.
