Product Manager Optical Test Products (M/F)

An attractive new European office is under construction in Amersfoort. In 2008 we will relocate there from our three present sites in the Netherlands. This move will efficiently bring together the know-how and experience of our European headquarters, the Dutch sales and service organisation and our European systems engineering centre.

At Yokogawa Europe, location Amersfoort (The Netherlands), we are looking for a new colleague in the position of

Product Manager Optical Test Products (M/F)

You will be a member of a strong test and measurement marketing team. Within this team you are responsible for the European marketing functions for our Photonics and Digital Communications Products.
  • You lead the development, implementation and maintenance of marketing programs to expand the business for existing and future products, markets, and sales channels in close cooperation with the Business Unit marketing staff and Sales Unit Managers.
  • You design and implement a comprehensive strategic and tactical marketing plan in order to achieve the short and long term divisional strategic goals;
  • You represent Europe to our headquarters in Japan and work together with them to ensure effective products and programs optimised for the European market.
  • You work with colleagues in marketing communications to create marketing materials and application notes.
  • You lead and support key account activities together with Sales Units and Distributors.
  • You launch new products and provide sales tools and support such as training, seminars, etc.
  • You have a university degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, Optoelectronics, Phonics or a related subject;
  • You have knowledge and experience of photonics and digital communication products and preferably knowledge of their markets;
  • 2 To 5 years experience in selling products, selecting and supporting distributors, product management, marketing and business development in photonics and digital communications is preferred;
  • You can easily communicate with customers at all levels and are a proficient negotiator;
  • You have a sixth sense for identifying good distributors and you enjoy exploring new markets;
  • You are creative, innovative and show perseverance in getting the job done;
  • You are internationally oriented and proficient in English;
  • You are willing to travel (mainly Europe & Japan).
