Business Development Manager Africa (M/F)

Business Development Manager Africa (M/F)

Job

Objective:
As our existing activities and organizations in Africa are becoming more and more successful in gaining market shares, we can observe that many governments of African countries are becoming more and more involved in strategic investments. Keeping our current organization structure in place, YEF major accounts will be extended with a Business Development Manager Africa.

Requisite for the Business Development Manager Africa
The Business Development Manager Africa should preferably be an African and should be able to communicate in English and French. He/she should have the experience and the credibility to contact and create/develop relationships with top officials in governments and with top management in local African companies.
He/she should be able to co-ordinate his/her actions with all members of the existing Yokogawa sales organization in Africa and with the Yokogawa GMA and GMP structure.

The role of Business Development Manager Africa
The Business Development Manager Africa is a facilitator, a governmental co-ordinator.
He/she will participate in the major economical/industry events taking place on the continent and in general in events involving major African companies. He/she will travel to various African countries regularly as the representative of Yokogawa, that way contributing to increase the presence of Yokogawa in the African market place.
He/she will promote Yokogawa as a reliable and fair partner to selected major African companies and to local government officials as a company acquiring the local requirements and aim to help them to achieve their goals for development.
The Business Development Manager will investigate, anticipate and confirm future investments/projects and propose a strategy to secure business for Yokogawa.
He/she will facilitate regular contact between Yokogawa corporate management, top government officials and top management of African companies and when necessary support Yokogawa sales and operations personnel involved in specific projects.
The Business Development Manager Africa will initiate African strategy meetings, primarily for YEF key personnel in African related organizations and with other Yokogawa affiliates' members and join if and when required. YEF African related organizations will report the status of business development and projects regularly.
The countries where the Business Development Manager Africa will operate will be defined in accordance with Yokogawa's European and global strategy, based on the proposal made by the Business Development Manager during an African business meeting, which will be organized annually

Reporting
The Business Development Manager Africa will report to YEF MA/EMP manager.

Location:
Initially the Business Development Manager Africa can be based in one of Yokogawa affiliates involved in business in Africa (YEF-NLS, YEF-F, YEF-I, YEF-SA), but it is possible that future development of Yokogawa business allows the Business Development Manager Africa to operate from one of the targeted African countries.
