Yokogawa Marex Technology announces the official release of Exaquantum R1.01, Plant Information Management System (PIMS), as a Yokogawa global product.
Exaquantum PIMS is an indispensable product within the portfolio of Yokogawa Marex, and is a fundamental component for providing full ETS systems to customers. Yokogawa Marex has spent a great amount of the development time and money on the enhancement of R1.00 engineering capabilities to ensure that Exaquantum R1.01 can be sold, engineered and delivered as a fully functional off-the-shelf product by all Yokogawa affiliate companies. Only in May 2000 Yokogawa Marex launched Exaquantum R1.00 as an engineering tool. This version has undergone extensive further development over the last seven months and is now released as Exaquantum R1.01.
Exaquantum re-positions Yokogawa within the market place as an information system supplier providing major value-added business solutions. This re-positioning will serve to compliment and enhance our current market position as a supplier of high quality and robust instrumentation and control systems. The information systems market environment requires rapid response and a strong track record of being able to offer solutions that integrate with, and map onto, our customers existing IT infrastructures. In order to address this basis requirement, the supply of Exaquantum will be unlike that of any other Yokogawa product, in that it will be manufactured and shipped in both English and Japanese versions by Yokogawa Marex. Yokogawa Marex has extensive experience and a long track record in the packaging and supply of software and integrated business solutions.
All orders for Exaquantum should be placed directly to Yokogawa Marex who will be responsible for manufacture and shipping on a global basis. Also Yokogawa Marex will provide engineering services, training and support to all sales channels outside of Japan.
