Yokogawa Establishes System Center Europe

Effective March 1, 2002, Yokogawa Europe B.V., the European regional headquarters of Yokogawa Electric Corporation (Japan), announces the launch of the Yokogawa's European System Center based in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands.
Pre-empted by the current and future market and user needs for 'total solutions' and Yokogawa's growing success in systems business in Europe over the last ten years coupled with an aggressive growth scenario, the centralised operations is both positioned to handle and support major international projects and key accounts.
"The System Center Europe will combine the know-how and expertise related to total automation solutions for the process industry, including manufacturing execution systems, distributed control systems, safety systems, SCADA systems and Fieldbus Foundation instrumentation", explains Will de Groot, managing director Yokogawa System Center Europe BV. "This new organisation of approximately 200 employees strengthens our systems presence in Europe where innovative and reliable Yokogawa hardware and software is integrated in total automation solutions for our customers by professional and experienced project managers and engineers."
Yokogawa System Center Europe is also responsible for the marketing and development of Yokogawa Safety Systems, SLS Safety and SCADA systems.
