Yokogawa Opens Office in Bucharest, Romania


Yokogawa Europe is expanding its business network to Romania and has opened a European Engineering Center in the capital of Romania, Bucharest. The office is located in the Unirii area, where Yokogawa has leased some 400 sqm of office space.

The new office will mainly act as an extension to the European network and the primary focus will be on performing engineering activities for Integrated Control System projects, consisting of Distributed Control and Safety Systems. In addition to this activities in SCADA and Power Control will be undertaken.

The office will offer engineering support to the current European affiliates. The forecast for the new location is to be operating with over 40 employees by the 4th Quarter in 2005. By offering extensive support to the various Yokogawa affiliates, Yokogawa will become even more flexible in operating in large scale projects.

The new office location benefits from good accessibility. It is located 5 minutes walking distance from the capital center, and only 20 minutes away from the Otopeni International Airport.
