Yokogawa features industrial automation solutions for LNG applications

 Yokogawa is featuring its comprehensive range of industrial automation solutions at LNG 15, with particular emphasis on the company's VigilantPlant concept which provides a clear path to operational excellence by enabling customers to 'See clearly', 'Know in advance' and 'Act with agility' to optimise the monitoring and control of their processes.
Yokogawa has over 30 years' experience in the LNG industry, and VigilantPlant is delivering visibility, predictability and agility to LNG businesses worldwide.
Today, Yokogawa systems control 30% of the world's liquefaction plants, 58% of re-gasification plants, and 38 carriers worldwide.
Products and systems embraced by the VigilantPlant concept include distributed and network control systems, safety systems, recorders and data-acquisition systems, analytical instrumentation, and field instruments and transmitters. Yokogawa systems are linked by asset management, optimisation and integrated information systems which connect the plant control with the financial and business aspects of a company's operations.
One of the areas featured at LNG 15 is the modelling technology incorporated within VigilantPlant, which not only allows customers to train their operators in a 'real life' environment but also lets them test ideas for improvement without disturbing the actual system. The Yokogawa display will incorporate an operator training system based on an actual LNG re-gasification terminal.
