Marex Technology Ltd of Cowes, Isle of Wight, has changed its name to Yokogawa
Marex Technology Ltd. The name change reflects the full integration of Marex
into the worldwide Yokogawa Corporation of Japan, a global market-leading specialist
automation, process control and instrumentation company for which Yokogawa Marex
Technology is the dedicated software development company, specialising in Integrated
Information Systems (IIS), such as PIMS and MES.
The change is solely to the name and follows the purchase of Marex by Yokogawa
in September 1997; there are no changes to the nature of the company, its legal
status, business procedures, or any practical aspects affecting the company
or its clients.
Danny Fisher, Yokogawa Marex Managing Director, adds "Our new name indicates
the excellent support we are receiving from Yokogawa, and strengthens the Yokogawa
"Enterprise-Technology-Solutions" concept of which our IIS products are an essential
part. The Yokogawa association greatly increases our reach and resources and
raises to the highest level our offer as a global provider and integrator of
IIS products."
