Description:
A common challenge facing plant operators and supervisors is the excessive number of alarms being created. This wastes time and distracts operators, potentially resulting in unsafe and damaging operating conditions.
Exaquantum/ARA is an integral part of Yokogawa’s alarm management solution ensuring plant safety and profitability by assisting with the identification and reduction in the number of alarms.
Designed with EEMUA 191 and ANSI/ISA-18.2-2009 at its heart, Exaquantum/ARA provides a comprehensive set of reports providing statistical analysis of alarms and events for any user selected time period. This enables relevant personnel to identify and correct deficiencies and allows operators to view only relevant alarms and events.
Process units with excessive alarms can be easily identified allowing process engineers to investigate the underlying issues. Through the identification of the source of the problems the appropriate corrective actions can be taken, from equipment maintenance through to long term alarm strategy initiatives.
