Objectives
Enable ProSafe-PLC system users to operate, maintain and modify the system. The course will outline the system's safety features and provide the opportunity, through hands-on exercises, to configure the system.

Process engineers, process control engineers, maintenance and technical support personnel.

The course duration is 4 days.
Prerequisites
Fundamental knowledge of computers and a working knowledge of MS-Windows. Fundamental knowledge of electronics and Boolean logic.

Day 1:
- Welcome and course introduction.
- ProSafe-PLC hardware.
- Exercise: ProSafe-PLC hardware familiarization.
- Introduction to PLC SET.
- Exercise: Off-line system module tree configuration.
- Exercise: I/O configuration.
Day 2:
- Concepts of PLC SET and configuration hierarchy.
- Exercise: PLC SET tour.
- Creating a ProSafe-PLC configuration.
- Exercise: Creating a configuration.
Day 3:
- PLC SET features (menu).
- Exercise: Using the features of PLC SET.
- ProSafe-PLC default configuration.
- Compare, select, logic and alarm blocks.
- Timers & counters.
- Exercise: Timers and counters.
Day 4:
- Ladder Logic.
- Exercise: Ladder logic configuration.
- Move & communication function blocks.
- Exercise: Move and communication.
- Actions.
- Fault finding and corrective maintenance.
- Evaluation.
