Yokogawa Participates in ARC Forum 2010

General session

General session

The fourteenth ARC World Industry Forum was held at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida from February 8th to 11th, 2010. Under the theme “Where industry leaders meet to solve their most challenging issues”, the forum brought more than 600 industry executives from end users, media, industry associations and vendors together from distant corners of the globe! ARC co-located its three annual forums together in this event: Operationally-Focused Forum (held in Orland for the past 13 years), Asset Lifecycle Management Forum (held in Houston last year) and Supply Chain & Logistics Forum (held in Boston for many years).

It was a great opportunity for the Yokogawa Electric Corporation and Yokogawa Corporation of America leadership team to meet with some of their top customers such as ExxonMobil, Chevron, Valero, Savannah River, Petrobrás and to be able to discuss their future plans, business needs, and how Yokogawa can help them to solve their most challenging issues.

Yokogawa's press conference and showcase table at the exhibition featured highlights of VigilantPlant Services™, a comprehensive package of automation service solutions to help manufacturers achieve safe, environmentally friendly and profitable plant operations and an interoperable wireless demonstration in collaboration with the Wireless Compliance Institute (WCI). Yokogawa's showcase table attracted customers such as Shell, BASF, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Procter & Gamble, DOW Chemical, Savannah River, Nova Chemicals, and many others!

This is the sixth consecutive year that Yokogawa has participated in the forum as a Silver Sponsor. Many important Yokogawa IA marketing campaigns such as VigilantPlant®, Safety Excellence, Asset Excellence, RPO, and Production Excellence have been announced at this forum.

During the announcement about ISA 100.11a, Dave Kauffman from Honeywell explained: “WCI is a group of vendors and end users working together to commercially deliver interoperable products for the ISA 100.11a standards. WCI currently has 18 members including end users like ExxonMobil, BP, Procter & Gamble, as well as large automation vendors like Yokogawa, Yamatake, Honeywell and GE. WCI successfully completed a public demonstration of the ISA 100.11a standard technologies working in an interoperable multi-vendor environment at the ISAEXPO 2009 at Houston, TX.”
