Automation 2010 in Mumbai, India
Yokogawa India Ltd. participated in the Automation 2010 trade show, which was held from September 21 to 24 in Mumbai. This event is held every two years in India and this was the first time that Yokogawa participated.
A total of 462 companies had booths at the show and over 4,000 visitors showed up. In addition to Yokogawa, notable exhibitors in the industrial automation field included Honeywell, Schneider, and ABB. Mechatronics companies were also represented. Japanese vendors such as Omron, Mitsubishi, and Chino also participated, and were joined at this event for the first time by azbil.
The Yokogawa booth featured exhibits of field instruments and programmable logic controllers (PLC) for industrial automation applications. During the four-day event, over 800 people visited the booth, and 600 of them registered and left their business cards. There were many enquiries from people in the oil and gas industry about Yokogawa’s wireless transmitters and gas chromatographs, and a number of these have led to detailed negotiations. A Yokogawa brand PLC also attracted considerable attention and it was the subject of many enquiries.
