  The Yokogawa booth
The Yokogawa booth
From July 17 to 19, Yokogawa China participated in the 5th China International FieldBus and Industrial Automatic Instrumentation Exhibition (FIA2007) at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. At this event, which was hosted by the China Instrument Manufacturers Association (CIMA), Yokogawa China exhibited and demonstrated an integrated system made up of FOUNDATION fieldbus™ instruments and the CENTUM CS 3000 R3 Production Control System to show its capabilities in FOUNDATION fieldbus multi-vendor integration.

FieldMate, a new product, made its debut, and the STARDOM network-based control system was on display as the host system in an integrated multi-vendor system. This was one of the first exhibitions in which STARDOM was shown in such a configuration.

The Yokogawa booth also featured a special stage on which the world's largest FOUNDATION fieldbus project for the Shell Nanhai Complex was introduced. This display was configured with exclusive navigators.

Yokogawa was the only vendor to have its own booth for demonstrations and exhibits; all of our competitors had their exhibits in the FOUNDATION fieldbus booth.

Yokogawa also organized a technical seminar on the topic of “Yokogawa's Proposed Asset Excellence — Plant Resource Manager (PRM).”

During this three-day exhibition, there were a total of 278 visitors to the Yokogawa booth, and more than 70 attended the technical seminar.

While the number of Chinese customers who have introduced FOUNDATION fieldbus is still quite small, Yokogawa China is doing its utmost to promote this technology as well as other Yokogawa products in this market.
