First Yokogawa Technology Innovations Fair in Singapore
Yokogawa Singapore hosted its first Technology Innovations Fair in Asia outside Japan from July 3 to 7 in celebration of the Official Opening of the new 12-storey Building in Bedok by the Guest-of-Honour, Singapore's Minister Mentor, Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
The Technology Innovations Fair
Almost 2000 guests from Singapore and the region visited the first-ever Yokogawa Technology Innovations Fair in Singapore. Graced by dignitaries, the mega fair showcased Yokogawa’s legendary innovations, customer-centric solutions, and foresight for building a Vigilantplant.
Divided into four distinguishing sections of History, Present, Future, and Other Businesses, the grand show presented the past, present, and future technologies of Yokogawa.
An exciting eye-opening event for many, the Technology Fair offered visitors a glimpse of the “Core Technology Research” being carried out at Yokogawa’s corporate research & development headquarters.
The History Zone featured Yokogawa’s illustrious track record of “Quality” and “Innovation” over the last 92 years with displays of antique instruments from the early 20s, 60s and 80s. Visitors started their exciting journey with Yokogawa’s progression timeline since 1915 and Yokogawa’s successful growth in Singapore over the last 33 years.
With the theme “VigilantPlant – The clear path to operational excellence”, the Present Zone exhibited Yokogawa’s quality instrumentation, innovative solutions, and foresight to help our end users’ plants achieve a clear path for operational excellence through Production Excellence, Safety Excellence, Asset Excellence, and Life Cycle Excellence.
Focusing on applications for the upstream, downstream, power, and pharmaceutical industries, there were interactive demo solutions on how to increase profitability through business and production optimization.
Additionally, the fair presented Yokogawa’s diverse contributions to society in other fields such as life sciences, gene diagnostics, avionics and testing equipment for semiconductor manufacturing.
The star of the fair, the Future Zone exhibited Yokogawa’s years of research and development in elemental cutting-edge technologies for the next decade in the areas of field ubiquitous computing, microtechnology, and photonics.
Some comments from the visitors:
