Atlanta, GA and Houston, TX, April 20, 2005 - Yokogawa Corporation of America announced today that David Johnson has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of Yokogawa’s North American operations. Mr. Johnson will have responsibility for all of Yokogawa’s North American businesses. He is the first non-Japanese to hold the position.
Mr. Johnson, a 17 year Yokogawa veteran, brings extensive executive management experience in industrial / business automation. Most recently, he ran Yokogawa’s North American Industrial Automation Instrument business.

Mr. Johnson is succeeding Mr. Shouzo Kaihori, who has successfully served in the position for the past five years. Mr. Kaihori will return to Japan, where he will run Yokogawa’s global Industrial Automation business.
