YOKOGAWA

Yokogawa India Ltd.

AMC

A Yokogawa annual maintenance contract can maximize the profits generated over the lifetime of a product by improving system reliability and cutting downtime. A maintenance plan can be configured to suit the particular conditions of use, with maintenance being performed on either a periodic or condition-based basis.

About Yokogawa's Annual Maintenance Contract

In the past, system maintenance typically was conducted on a periodic basis, with inspections and maintenance work being carried out on a fixed schedule. However, considerable variance in the conditions under which systems are in use has sometimes made it difficult to catch potential problems at an early stage. For this reason, Yokogawa is introducing condition-based maintenance (CBM) to the range of services offered under the terms of an annual maintenance contract. The CBM concept takes the guesswork out of the maintenance process by monitoring certain key conditions constantly, resulting in increased system reliability and lower total cost of ownership(TCO).

Preventive and Corrective Maintenance

Periodic site visits by our customer service engineer for preventive maintenance

  • Intervals between periodic checks.
  • In principle, maintenance service is performed for peripherals, such as cleaning, inspection, and lubrication, without stopping the system.
  • The operation log and status are checked, and countermeasures proposed.

Periodic maintenance and inspection for system reliability

  • Disassembly maintenance, accuracy check, function check, and assistance during operation testing are performed as necessary.
  • The maintenance cycle should be fixed (to a period specified by law or the user's standard) or flexibly set according to the environmental conditions.
  • Preventive maintenance and diagnosis of deterioration, which can be done only during shutdown, are performed simultaneously:
    • Replacement of deteriorated parts
    • Renewal and recovery
    • Improvement of environment
    • Upgrading of hardware and software

Replacement of Deteriorated Parts

  • Consumable parts having a short lifespan (1 or 2 years) are replaced.
Replacement of Device Units
  • Entire device units for which periodic replacement is recommended, such as floppy disk drives, hard disk drives, printers, and CRTs, are replaced.
Overhaul
  • Devices and cards including parts deteriorated by age are cleaned, parts replaced, and functions restored. Substituting will be done if necessary.
