What types of signals does the ProSafe-RS I/O support?
I/O modules can be selected according to purpose and application.
For input, 24 V DC, 4-20 mA, and 1-5 V (or 1-10 V) modules are available for handling a wide variety of field sensor flow, pressure, and level signals.
The actual electrical current is 1-23 mA, and the voltage input range is 0.1-11 V.
For output, 24 V DC (three types, according to power source), 110 V AC, and 4-10 mA analog modules are available. For 24 V DC output, the 0.6 A output type (for the standard solenoid,) 0.2 A output type (converted to 110 V DC via relay board) with multiple channels, and 2 A output type (used for F&G) can be selected.
As the ProSafe-RS analog input (AI) and analog output (AO) modules support HART communications, status monitoring or diagnostic applications such as a PST (partial stroke test) for field devices can be managed via ProSafe-RS.
A Modbus communication module is also available as an I/O module.
