High Current Digital Output

A high-current digital output module has been added to the digital module line-up. This new SDV521-S33 module can provide a maximum current of 2A. It maintains SIL3 capability regardless of whether in a single configuration or a dual-redundant configuration.

Extended Digital Output

The new SDV531-L□□module permits you to extend the distance up to 1000m (@28.8V).*
This module also can be used in a single or dual-redundant configuration with SIL3 protection.

* Must meet the following conditions: AKB331: 2m, field wiring: AWG10, field device voltage: 21.6V or higher

Test Function Support (for SCS Simulation Test)

While the CS 3000 integration test (operation monitoring via HIS and communication with FCS) and inter-SCS communication test are normally conducted on actual equipment, this new function enables the SCS system software to also run on a PC, so you can conduct both test types without using the actual equipment.
In addition, the test function (SCS simulation function) permits you to configure the DCS/SIS integration OTS (Operating Training System).
To use this test function, a related package for the CS 3000 test function is required.

Optical ESB Bus Repeater Module up to 50km

The optical ESB bus repeater module permits you to install an I/O node at a remote location that can be up to 50 km from the CPU node. Up to nine I/O nodes can be connected by fiber optic cable to the CPU node.

Other Enhancements

SCS Safety Link Transmission Function

This SCS safety link transmission function enables a large amount of data to be transmitted between an SCS and an FCS that are in the same domain. Between SCSs, safety link transmission is used; between an SCS and an FCS, transmission is interference free.

Grouping Override Function Block

This override function block can easily implement an exclusive control request to assure single override in a group at a time. Compared with conventional blocks, this block assures more safe and convenient operations.

ST (Structured Text) Language

ST is supported, enabling the use of arithmetic expressions. The calculation result (calculation for compensation) can be fetched into the ESD logic without affecting the safety function.

Compact Wiring Diagnosis Element

The length of the solid part of the wiring diagnosis element has been reduced from 65mm to 32mm. This device can be easily mounted near a field device without changing its installation environment.
