Ultra-fast Processig Speed
The FA-M3 R is configured with three processors that give it the world's fastest processing speeds. It can scan up to 20K ladder program steps per millisecond (with a 50% application instruction ratio) and has a minimum scan time of 200μs.
The FA-M3 R delivers high-speed, whatever the assignment. Today's functionally-enhanced equipment contains a larger ratio of application instructions. With such applications, the FA-M3 R achieves at least ten times the performance of the previous CPU model used in the FA-M3.
The following graph shows the improvement in performance.

With this ultra-fast processing speed, there is no longer the need to factor in processing time when programming. Why is such high-speed processing necessary?
The following graph shows the improvement in performance.

With this ultra-fast processing speed, there is no longer the need to factor in processing time when programming. Why is such high-speed processing necessary?
| - | Calculations (with application instructions) are increasing in complexity |
| - | The need to improve productivity by running mechanical processes at higher speeds |
| - | To allow improvements to operator interfaces and diagnostic programs |
| - | To improve performance stability by saving scan time for peripheral processes including network service |
