Yokogawa has taken its decades of expertise in configuring control functions and put them into libraries of software parts available as Application Portfolios. By using control logic parts from a portfolio to build applications running on FCNs and FCJs, sophisticated yet stable functions can be easily built.

Application Portfolios

Each portfolio contains various control logic parts to meet diverse functional requirements, and users can add desired functions to a provided part and register it as a new part. Some control logic parts in portfolios come with the corresponding software parts for operation and monitoring windows on VDS Versatile Database Server, so using VDS together with FCNs and FCJs doubles the benefits of Application Portfolios.

PAS Portfolio	A library of process control parts such as PID controller and switch instrument blocks
SAMA Portfolio	A library of parts compliant with Scientific Apparatus Makers Association (SAMA) and often used in power processes
Modbus Communication Portfolio	A library of parts communicating with Modbus communications protocol support devices via serial or Ethernet communications
Time Synchronization Server Portfolio	A library of time synchronization among equipments supporting SNTP FCN/FCJ can run as an STNP server and client.
Communication Portfolios	Libraries of parts to provide an FCN or FCJ controller with functionality to directly communicate with controllers and devices of a different series or different manufacturer
Application-specific Portfolios	Libraries of application-specific control functions tailored to a specific process or equipment, such as for boiler control applications and gas flow calculations.
