Function Specifications

The DAQOPC and DAQOPC for DARWIN provide the following OPC-compliant interfaces:

Data Access (DA) server functions
DA servers read/write process data having an item ID as the identifier, through communication input channels.

System Configuration

Server/Client Composition
DAQOPC/DAQOPC for DARWIN users (OPC clients) can be configured in the following two ways:
- OPC clients coexist with DAQOPC (for DARWIN) on the same PC
- OPC clients coexist on a host computer (Windows 2000 or Windows XP)
Multiple Clients
Multi-client configuration Access is possible from multiple OPC clients to one
Multiple Servers
Multi-server configuration Access is possible from OPC one client to another multiple DAQOPC (for DARWIN).

The DAQOPC and DAQOPC for DARWIN provide the following OPC-compliant interfaces:

Maximum number of linkable clients: 100
Maximum number of group objects: 1000
Maximum number of registrable item IDs: 1000/group
Maximum number of item IDs for which cache is updated: 100000
Cache updating interval: 1000 to 3600000 ms (1 s to 1 hr)
Maximum number of linkable units:
- DAQOPC (DXA410)...24
- DAQOPC for DARWIN (DP410) ...16

Windows 2000 SP3/SP4 or Windows XP Professional SP1/SP2 (OPC Interface Package and Windows must use the same language.)
