Release of Compatible Models and Certification of Explosion Standards
YS1000 Series
We have added models to the YS1000 Series of single loop controllers that have compatible shapes with older models such as the YS80.
The series has also been certified under the FM Non-Incendive standard, the main explosion proof standard in North America. This will allow customers to use the YS1000 series in dangerous locations (Class I, Div 2), mainly in North America.

With the MW100 and PR300 power monitor, you can build a small scale power monitoring system using Ethernet connections. Power data and analog data such as temperature measurements acquired by the MW100 can be saved to the MW100's CF card, and with the MW100 /M3 report function you can remotely monitor the "power integral graph" over a Web browser.

---- Grammar Notes: Formal Japanese ----

Japanese has many levels of speech formality that are used, for example, to honor customers. These beautiful modes of speaking give a wonderful richness to the language, but can be hard to understand. We can only scratch the surface of formal Japanese here, but a few basics will help you to understand and appreciate it when it is being spoken to you. Here are some examples of words and expressions in their plain and polite forms. You may recognize some of these from previous lessons.

---- General Notes ----

Pictorial menu - Menus with pictures are usually placed on the counter right next to the register. Menu items have mostly the same names as they do in the U.S., but speak slowly because the Japanese pronunciation can be rather different.

Decaf coffee is available, but often has to be specially made. Decaf espresso drinks are usually not available, nor is half-and-half, though they do serve fresh cream.

Pronunciation Tip
Vowels are easy to pronounce, similar to Spanish or Hawaiian (as commonly pronounced by non-native speakers):
a = "ah" as in "taco" or "aloha"
i = "ee" as in "Tijuana" or "Waikiki"
u = "oo" as in "Eres tu" or "Luau"
e = "eh" as in "Espanol" or "Kameamea"
o = "oh" as in "Mexico" or "Molokai"
