Open the DAQ32PLUS "Software Configurator" icon and check whether ETHERNET is selected in the "communication" tab, and that the IP address of the DA100 is set. If the DA100's IP address is not set, enter the address and restart DAQ32PLUS.

DARWIN instruments shipped on or prior to mid June, 2007 do not support IP address settings on Windows Vista (however normal communications are possible). You can enter settings from Windows 2000/XP, or from the menu on the main unit if using the DC100 or DR series.

With the latest release (R11.06 or later), the Windows firewall blocks running of the IP address setting program. We apologize for the inconvenience, but as a workaround you can disable the Windows firewall, or as explained in the appendix to the DAQWORX Installation & Operation Guide, you can add the DAQ32Plus Launcher program to the Windows firewall exceptions.

Error
If no settings were changed, check the following.
  • Check the free hard disk space and check for disk errors
  • Check the power to the DA100 and the green STATUS lamp
  • Check the connection of the communication cables and replace if necessary

The exclamation point appears when data cannot be written to the hard disk. Check whether the destination folder exists, and whether there is sufficient free space on the hard disk.

Monitor
The time displayed on trends is that of the DA100. When connected for long periods, the time on the PC and DA100 can diverge. If you disconnect and reconnect the instruments the time on the DA100 is automatically set to that of the PC.

Use the DAQ32PLUS client package. With the most recent version, a single DAQ32PLUS monitor server can support up to sixteen clients.

Setting
Upload the settings by choosing the DARWIN Hardware Configurator icon > Comm. > Receive. Next, choose Comm. > Action > Strain Bal./Init., using Type of Initial Balance and Object Input Channels of target channels. (Type of "Initialization" restores the values entered upon shipment from the factory.)
