With Windows XP SP2, the Windows firewall may have been previously set up and enabled such that this dialog box appears when running or operating certain programs. Make sure that the name of the program being used appears in the Name box, and that “Yokogawa Electric Corporation” appears in the Publisher box, then click the Unblock button. Note that if you click Keep Blocking, the program will be blocked from use, and it will be necessary to change your Windows firewall settings to unblock the program. For instructions on unblocking programs, search the Windows XP SP2 Help and Support “allowing a program to communicate through Windows Firewall.
Was the program installed within the Program Files folder?
When using Windows Vista, the software will not run properly if installed in a subfolder of the Program Files folder.
For new installations, specify a directory other than Program Files for installation (the default is within the DAQWORX folder).
If DAQWORX was previously installed using Windows XP or Windows 2000 within the Program Files folder, reinstall DAQWORX into a different folder before upgrading to Windows Vista.

As a result of the Energy Policy Act in the US, the summer time period (daylight saving time) in the US and Canada was changed as of 2007. Relative to 2006 and before, the time in 2007 and thereafter during the last three weeks in March and the first week in November (4 weeks total) differs by one hour.
However, because these two different time periods cannot coexist in Windows, the time during these four weeks is handled as follows.
  • Under Windows Vista, all DAQWORX data from 2006 and before is displayed based on the 2007 and after period.
  • In the case of Windows 2000/XP, in the standard configuration, all data are displayed based on the 2006 and before period, and if an update program is applied, all will be displayed based on the 2007 and after period.

For example, if data recorded using DAQWORX at the end of March 2005 is displayed on DAQWORX under Windows Vista, even if it is Winter time, it is handled as Summer time and the time is displayed as being 1 hour behind.

This affect only occurs if the PC's time zone is set to the US or Canada. Note that Mexico is excluded from the change, therefore users in Mexico whose PC’s were set for US or Canadian time must change the time zone to Mexico.
