Lesson 3: Switching between Start printout/Start 2 printout and Stop printout/Stop 2 printout (header printout function, /BT1 option)
Start and Stop printout are major features of the µR10000/µR20000 Header Printout function (/BT1 option). It is now possible to change the process information (such as batch/lot number and comments) used for the Start printout and Stop printout according to the conditions in a given process. The switch to the preset Start 2 printout/Stop 2 printout1 is performed in combination with the remote control function (/R1 option). The function is effective for process recording when abnormalities occur in various kinds of heat treatment applications such as sterilization, vulcanization, and metal casting.

For example, when a process ends successfully, Stop printout can be performed and the lot number can be updated. If the process ends with an abnormality, a process recording action can be performed such as switching to the Stop 2 printout (e.g. prints out "Abnormality" 2) without updating of the lot number.

The following are examples of changing the printout operation and its conditions. Switching is judged and carried out based on the combination of the remote control start/stop recording signal and the condition of the batch comment switching signal.

1: The allowable setting range is the same as that for Start printout/Stop printout.
2: The user can enter any string that is within the allowable setting range.
