This is to introduce the navigation keys on the UTAdvanced Digital Indicating Controller. The UTAdvanced has navigation keys (see figure 1) that make it easy to move to desired parameters and change the values.
- Example 1: Easily moving to a parameter
Parameters are divided into input, output, communication, and other kinds of groups. You can move between groups with the left and right keys. When on the desired group, press the SET/ENT key. You can then use the up and down keys to move between parameters.
The instrument also has navigation "guides" (see figure 2) that light according to which keys are available at any given time.
- Example 2: Easily changing parameter settings
You can select the desired parameter, then set its value.
- Parameters with numerical target (SP) settings: All keys available (up, down, left, and right navigation guides are lit) By using the up and down keys, you can increase or decrease the setting value. And to switch digits in order to change a value from 200.0 to 300.0, for example, you can also use the left and right keys to move to the desired digit.
- Parameters with ON/OFF settings: Only up and down keys are available (only up and down navigation guides are lit)
The available keys are instantly recognizable.
