Introducing Useful Functions

UTAdvanced® Digital Indicating Controllers

This is an introduction to the UTAdvanced Digital Indicating Controller's registration and initializaion of user setting values.

Have you ever accidentally changed controller parameters and had difficulty changing them back? Typically users write down parameter values or use a tool to save setting values as a file, but restoring these settings can be troublesome and time consuming. With UTAdvanced you can register your settings as default values right on the controller, making it simple to initialize them any time. And of course, you can also initialize the factory default values as well.

How to Register User Setting Values

Please use the LL50A Parameter Setting Software (sold seperately) to register user setting values.

How to Initialize User/Factory Default Values

You can initialize settings directly on the main unit, or use the LL50A Parameter Setting Software.

With the main unit

  • Initializing User Setting Values
Display the [U.DEF] parameter, enter the password, and press ENTER.

  • Restoring the Factory Default Values
Display the [F.DEF] parameter, enter the password, and press ENTER.
This procedure will not initialize (erase) your registered user settings, but the ladder program will be initialized to the factory default.

The [U.DEF] and [F.DEF] parameters are only displayed in Professional Setting mode. Note that the password is fixed, and can be found in the user's manual (IM 05P01C31-01EN).

With the LL50A Parameter Setting Software

Note: The ladder program is initialized to the factory default when Initialize to Factory Defaults is selected.

This procedure will not initialize (erase) your saved user settings. Note that the password is fixed, and can be found in the user's manual (IM 05P05A01-02EN).
