Yokogawa Electric Corporation announced that it has entered into an agreement with Chevron U.S.A. Inc., to be their global supplier of Process Control and Instrumentation (PCI) for plant automation and field instrumentation. The three-year agreement applies to all Chevron affiliates with greater than 50 percent ownership.
The Yokogawa products covered by the agreement include plant automation systems including "Exa" series productivity solution software, CENTUM CS1000/3000 integrated control system hardware/software and field instruments, including EJA pressure transmitters, YTA temperature transmitters, YEWFLO vortex flow meters and EXA analyzers.
"Our selection as a preferred vendor is the result of an intensive year-long technical and commercial evaluation process," said Akira Kohzuki, senior general manager for Yokogawa's International Solutions Division. "We believe our process control and instrumentation products can provide Chevron benefits in cost reduction and in front-end engineering design."

Under this agreement, a steering committee comprising both Yokogawa and Chevron representatives will be established to ensure optimum facilitation and benefits for both companies.
