Yokogawa Electric Corporation announces the release of the DL750P ScopeCorder, a waveform measuring instrument that provides enhanced recorder functionality by means of a built-in A4 thermal printer. At the same time, the company is releasing a Universal Module that incorporates both voltage and temperature management functions and which is intended for use with DL750 series instruments.

Development Background
There has been a rapid improvement in the functionality and performance of all kinds of mechatronic equipment used in automobiles, industrial machinery, and the like. Yokogawa has released many waveform measuring instruments to the market since the 1980s and has been steadily capturing an ever larger share of the mechatronics segment of the waveform measuring instruments market. In 2002, we released the DL750 ScopeCorder with the GigaZoom function, a Yokogawa technology that enables the instantaneous display of up to one gigaword (1,000 million words) of waveform data. This has gone on to become the best-selling waveform measuring instrument in this segment of the market.
  Users of waveform measuring instruments need to record multi-channel measurement data on paper as well as electronically. To meet this need, we have incorporated a high-resolution A4 thermal printer in the DL750P.
  In addition, users want to see a single module that integrates the voltage measurement and temperature measurement functions. In response to this need, we have developed a Universal Module that is capable of measuring both voltage and temperature.
  By continuing to respond to such user needs, we will further solidify our position as a top manufacturer in the mechatronics segment of the waveform measuring instrument market.

Product Features
1. Combination of oscilloscope and chart recorder functions in a single unit
The waveform measuring instrument is equipped with a high-resolution A4 thermal printer. Therefore, it can not only save measurement signals as electronic data, but also print them using the chart recorder function. The oscilloscope function can be used to observe waveforms at high speeds, and the chart recorder function to observe them over long periods of time.

2. Integration of GigaZoom function and high-resolution A4 thermal printer
The GigaZoom function enables the instantaneous display of a maximum of one gigaword of measurement data. For printing on A4 paper, the position and zoom-out ratio can be set for the measurement data.

3. Addition of Universal Module to product lineup
Up till now, separate plug-in modules have been required to measure voltage and temperature. We have addressed this need by developing a single plug-in module that can perform both measurements. With this addition to our product lineup, we now offer a total of eleven different plug-in modules.
