MICONEX is an annual trade fair specializing in measurement, instrumentation and automation that is held by the China Instrument and Control Society. This year, approximately 400 Chinese and overseas-based companies had booths at the fair and approximately 16,000 people visited.

Yokogawa introduced its latest products and its total solutions in the fields of automation and control and test & measurement at a booth that had a total floor space of 144 square meters, the fair's largest.

Power application seminar & CENTUM CS 3000/UOI exhibit

The theme for the power industry section at MICONEX 2003 was "Eco-friendly power generation and control technology." To meet China's increasing needs for protecting its environment, Yokogawa presented a variety of eco-friendly control solutions focusing on combined cycle and large coal fired power stations, flue gas desulfurization (FGD), circulated fluidized bed (CFB) boilers and dynamic power plant simulators. Our power industry experts from China, Australia and Japan jointly held a power application seminar and engaged in an active exchange of information with the capacity audience. Of particular interest to customers from China was a demonstration of the CENTUM CS 3000/Unified Operator Interface (UOI), which enables seamless operation of GE turbines and Yokogawa’s DCS.
