Yokogawa has won an order from Fuji Electric Systems to supply a CENTUM CS 3000 distributed control system for the Lahendong Ⅲ geothermal power plant in Indonesia's North Sulawesi province.
Lahendong Ⅲ(20MW) is built to ensure a stable power supply for North Sulawesi province.
Geothermal power plants utilize geothermal energy and discharge extremely little CO2, a gas that is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect. For this reason geothermal energy is attracting much attention as a renewable and clean energy source that, in addition to its environmental benefits, has enormous cost merits.
