A terminal/large depot is a storage area where petroleum products are received through cross-country pipelines and/or large marine vessels and are stored in tank farms. Subsequent distribution is carried out using trucks, barges, rail cars (popularly known as tank cars or wagons), and similar means.

Yokogawa has gained years of experience in the automating such terminals/depots and can provide concept-to-commissioning based on proven technology and its accumulated know-how for all your terminal.

    Loss-Gain Calculation:Book-physical inventory differences are calculated for products and tanks.

FUNCTIONS to be developed per each project

Report format would vary according to the terminal or the users' requirement.The respective report format should be discussed and then developed on the customer\'s requirement. The following reports are example of required category.

 

  • Issue of Instructions for Truck Loading
    Loading instructions, including the products to be loaded, are prepared prior to loading operations.
  • Issue of BOL and Report
    A BOL (Bill of Lading) and a report are issued.
  • Issue of Closing Report
    Control and management for oil rail tank car (wagon) loading.
  • Tank Inventory Management
    The fixed data at closing time is generated for each product, customer, owner, etc.

  • Management for Bond System
    Calculations and management for a bonded system are applied.
  • Traffic Control and Management
    Bay assignment support for trucks at the gate house.
  • Expected Tank Level Calculations at Job Finish for Loading/Unloading
    Tank level is calculated based upon the current inventory by converting the loading/unloading target volume to a tank level that is timed with the job finish.
  • Pump Test Control and Management
    Specified pumps can be run automatically for decided periods of time. A number of pumps can be initiated and stopped using time lags.
  • Data Gathering and Management for Rotating Equipment Running Time
    Management of the running time for rotating equipment in the terminal.
  • Tank to Tank Transfer Control and Management
    Control and management of transfers from source tanks to destination tanks.
  • Terminal Open/Close Management
    Management of terminal opening/closing timing.
  • Data Closing Function
    Data for trucks, products, customers, owners, etc. are summarized.
  • Entrance/Exit Management
    Validation is checked for entering and exiting the terminal.
  • Product Circulation
    Circulation mixing with transfer facilities.
  • Tank Swing Control for Loading/Unloading
    Tanks can be changed during loading/unloading.
  • Custody Meter Monitoring
    Custody transfer meters are monitored.
  • Upper Level System Interface
    Features ERP system connectivity.
