Forth Annual Solution-based Package(SBP) Users Meeting in Tokyo

This year's SBP Users Meeting was held on February 2 at Hotel Laforet Tokyo. -Purpose of the Users Meeting This meeting provided current and prospective users of Exapilot, Exaquantum, Exasmoc and other products an opportunity to make and view presentations on actual product applications and to exchange information.

-User Presentations More than 160 users from companies in a variety of industry sectors attended the meeting. Many newcomers participated. Users made presentations on their applications of Exaplog, Exapilot, Exaquantum, Exasmoc, and Exarqe, and these were followed by lively question and answer sessions.

The panel discussion

-Panel Discussion For the first time at this event, a panel discussion was held. The topic of this discussion was "Current Issues in Plant Operations and Desired Plant Operation Support Systems for the Future" and it was chaired by Professor Akio Gofuku of Okayama University. Opinions from many different industry sectors were exchanged.

A survey of the attendees of the 4th SBP User Meeting indicates that they hope very much to be back for the next meeting in order to learn more about applications. Yokogawa plans to continue holding the SBP Users Meeting so that users can exchange information and learn from each other's experience.
