Yokogawa hosted this year's SBP Users Meeting on November 6 at Hotel Laforet Tokyo.

- Purpose of the Users Meeting
This meeting provided current and prospective users an opportunity to learn about actual applications of SBP packages such as Exapilot, Exaquantum, Exasmoc, and OmegaLand.

- User Presentations
About 150 users from various industries attended the meeting.  The presentations introduced actual Exapilot, Exaquantum, and OmegaLand applications, and each presentation was followed a lively question-and-answer session.

- Group Discussions
In the latter part of the meeting, the attendees divided into groups for discussion of one of six topics. This smaller-group format was adopted in response to feedback that had pointed out the difficulty of raising issues and conducting an in-depth discussion within a larger group. It is believed that the smaller groups were successful in fostering a more direct and concrete exchange of information among the users.

Many SBP applications have been presented at the annual SBP User Meetings.  Yokogawa will continue to hold these meetings in order to foster the exchange of concrete and useful information, thereby allowing users to learn from the experience that others have gained in actual applications.
