Eighth Annual SBP Users Meeting in Tokyo
On January 28, Yokogawa hosted this year's SBP Users Meeting at its Tokyo's headquarters.
Purpose of the Users Meeting
This meeting provided current and prospective users an opportunity to learn about actual applications of solution-based packages (SBP). These include the Exapilot and Exaplog advanced operation assistance (AOA) packages, the Exaquantum plant information management system (PIMS), and the Exaquantum and Exarqe advanced process control (APC) suites.
User Presentations
About 100 users from various industries attended the meeting.
Seven individuals gave presentations about their Exapilot, Exaquantum, and Exarqe applications, and each was followed by a lively question-and-answer session.
The presentations included not only success stories but also described process mishaps and failures.
It turned out that prospective customers found presentations of the latter category to be even more helpful as they gave them a profound understanding of the capabilities of the SBP packages and yielded insights on how best to apply these packages to their plants and processes.
Yokogawa will continue to hold these meetings in order to foster the exchange of concrete and useful information and allow users to learn from the experience that others have gained in actual applications.
