Plant Resource Manager (PRM™) Version R3.03
Yokogawa has released this upgraded version of its asset management software package. In addition to support of Windows Vista, this version offers improved integration with the STARDOM™ Network-based Control System, enabling the management of multiple facilities from a single PRM server. Also, an enhanced EDDL graphic user interface efficiently displays a wider variety of data.

With this version of the Exapilot Operation Efficiency Improvement Package, it is now possible to do online maintenance of individual subprocedures without interrupting other subprocedures that are part of the main procedure (the application that is being built in Exapilot).

CENTUM® VP and STARDOM™ Achieved Integrated Host Class Registration
Through the Fieldbus Foundation's Host Profile Registration Program, the CENTUM VP Integrated Production Control System and STARDOM Network-based control system have been tested based on the FF-525 (Host Profile Registration Process) checklist and have been certified to meet the  interoperability requirements of Fieldbus Foundation.

EJX Pressure Transmitters

ISA100.11a Industrial Wireless Communications Standard
Yokogawa is supporting development of the ISA100.11a wireless communication standard as it has high reliability, is based on IPv6 to accommodate large networks, offers compatibility with existing systems and non-wireless protocols, and is suitable for a wide range of applications.

Power Plant System Orders in Egypt
The Egyptian Electricity Holding Co. (EEHC) is a government-owned electric utility that regulates the production, transmission, and distribution of electricity throughout Egypt. In recognition of Yokogawa's worldwide experience in the power industry, Yokogawa Middle East has been awarded work on five new plant and plant upgrade projects.

Sakhalin II LNG Plant
With 400 guests from around the world in attendance, a ceremony was held on February 18, 2009 to celebrate the opening of the Sakhalin II LNG Plant. For this project, Yokogawa supplied measurement and control facilities covering processes from oil and natural gas extraction to delivery. Located in Prigorodnoye at the southern end of Sakhalin island, this plant has an annual production capacity of 9.6 million tons, equivalent to 5% of global LNG output. This LNG will be supplied to customers in Japan, Korea, and North America.

Safety Assurance and Consultancy by Yokogawa Europe
TÜV Rheinland® has authorized Yokogawa Europe (YEF) to provide safety assurance and consultancy training courses to engineers who work with safety systems. These courses are based on the IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 international standards.

Success Stories
A Yokogawa integrated control and safety system makes it possible for a single operator to operate the entire BP Zhuhai LPG terminal on Gao Lan Island, China. A CENTUM CS 3000 Integrated Automation System (IAS) for boiler integration was supplied for use on Tenaga and Seri "A" Class of LNG Carriers operated by the Malaysia International Shipping Corporation (MISC). The system provides better information access, performance, and operational agility, and allows crews to operate both vessel types. And for Chevron Nigeria Limited, Escravos Gas Plant, Yokogawa Korea successfully executed an online migration (hot cut over) from Honeywell TDC3000 system to CENTUM CS 3000, completing this project over 40 days ahead of schedule.

Application Notes
By using the two-way communication feature of FOUNDATION™ fieldbus, TCO could be reduced by eliminating the need for a local display panel to monitor the data transferred between a STARDOM (RTU) system and transmitters.

The CENTUM VP Integrated Control System has been certified to meet the following marine standards: ABS 2005 Steel Vessel Rules 4-9 and Lloyd's Register's LR Type Approval System, Test Specification No. 1-2002.
