Objective   This course is designed to provide the participants with an understanding of GC operating principles and be familiar with GC1000 operation. Participants will also be equipped with simple maintenance and trouble-shooting skills.

Participants   For engineers and technicians who need to perform operation and maintenance on the GC1000 analyzer.
 
Prerequisite   Participants should preferably have some working experience with GC

DAY CONTENT
1 Principle of operation of gas chromatography
Main components in a PGC and their functions: Columns, Detectors, Valves, Processor
Understanding column systems and their uses
Extra feature in GC1000
* Programmed temperature oven
* Liquid Sample Valve
* Air bath oven
2 Explanation on CG1000 operation data and table parameters
Proper start-up of PGC and putting into operation
Stopping PGC operation and proper shutdown
Laboratory Work: LCD operation and GCMT operation
3 GC1000 calibration procedure
Laboratory work: PGC calibration
Simple maintenance on PGC parts
Discussion on some trouble-shooting skills
Care and precautions with PGC
PGC - Process Gas Chromatograph
LCD - Liquid Crystal Display
GCMT - Gas Chromatograph Maintenance Terminal
