<Overview>
The AFC (Auto Frequency Control) test is to observe the behaviors of three kinds of signals which control the receiving frequency offset inside the cellular phone, and monitor the processes of the reference frequency that was generated inside the phone until it’s modified.
<Measuring Points>
Mobile devices (wireless terminals) unify the internal reference frequency with the radio base station transmission frequency while doing follow-up control on the internal reference frequency to the radio base station transmission frequency (receiving signal). But with the Digital Oscilloscope DL7400 series and DL1640 series, you can perform long duration, high speed measurements of the waveform displacement within the internal reference frequency’s stability time requirement (from the start of the phenomenon to the convergence, approx. under 1 sec.), and test whether the internal processing and frequency correction control is operating normally. You can zoom in on abnormal areas, print out the image instantly with the built-in printer, and save to the floppy disk/Zip® drive/PC card drive (TypeII). In addition they are both portable, so it is appropriate for AFC testing in the field.
