Ethernet OAM Test Function
The AE5523 and AE5524 support Ethernet OAM (ETH-OAM) confirming to the ITU-T Y.1731 recommendation and IEEE802.1ag standard. ETH-OAM frame transmission, reply, statistics, and capture can be performed. Also all units support creation of ETH-OMA frames using Frame Builder and transmission of created ETH-OAM frames.

Ethernet OAM (operation, administration, and maintenance) is a function for maintaining and managing Ethernet networks. Maintenance and management is performed by Ethernet layer. The following three function are used for Ethernet OAM fault management.

Note: Ethernet OAM are available on AE5511 and TTPControlWindowE version R10.1.0.0 or later
