The AC power collection system lab in Department of Electrical Engineering,
Tsinghua University is mainly engaged in research on applications
of energy savings and inverter variable technology through AC power
collection system technology and electric power systems. Presently,
our main focus is on AC collection system technology and the evaluation
of electric power energy quality. The Yokogawa DL716 and PZ4000 have been extremely useful for many
tasks related to this research. In particular, the DL716's large
capacity memory makes it easy to capture abnormal phenomena in otherwise
normal waveforms. For example, we can run the DL716 for several days,
and capture any rare or abnormal signals that may occur during that time.
With the PZ4000, we primarily analyze the quality of electrical energy,
and conduct research in harmonic analysis at energy saving facilities
as well as wide bandwidth power metering and analysis. The PZ4000
can also perform measurement in the 2 MHz bandwidth, so we can expand
the scope of our research while raising its quality at the same time.
